Our licensed Physical Therapist has over 27 years of experience treating patients with pain and disability. Treatments are individualized and focus on restoring not only range of motion and strength...but function. We focus on function, to enable you to return to work, sports, leisure activities, and all other activities that make life enjoyable.
We have a strong focus on therapeutic exercise, postural re-education, balance and proprioceptive activities, biomechanics and manual therapy. We aim to restore Range of Motion, Strength, Postural Alignment and Function by using a combination of modalities. Physical modalities include Laser, Ultrasound, Shortwave Diathermy, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation and Mechanical Tractions.
We focus on therapeutic exercise, postural re-education, balance and proprioceptive activities, biomechanics and manual therapy. These are the "time consuming" modalities that many of the large practices avoid. We believe they're worth our time, because of the immediate relief and long lasting benefits that you will gain from them. We teach our patients to be self-sufficient so they can "help themselves" by better managing their condition at home and work.
By using exercises: Passive ROM, Active Assisted ROM, Active ROM. Manual therapy including joint mobilizations, soft tissue massage, myofascial release and trigger point release to restore joint mobility. We also use pulley systems and upper extremity ergometers to overcome limitations and restore ROM.
Strengthening exercises using bands, weights, TRX, body weight and upper extremity ergometer. We focus on strengthening functional movements that you perform in every day life; rather than strengthening single-plane, non-functional movements.
Postural exercises re-align your posture and enable you to maintain neutral spine posture during your Activities of Daily Living. This reduces strain on the neck, back and other joints.
Balance exercises/Proprioceptive activities maximize your balance reflexes/strategies in order to prevent falls; by training your body to quickly and reflexively regain balance in order to prevent a fall.
Physical modalities to reduce pain, inflammation and muscle spasm/trigger points and accelerate healing include (but are not limited to): Laser, Ultrasound, Shortwave Diathermy, Mechanical Traction, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation, Moist Heat, Cold Packs.
We participate in Medicare, No-fault, Worker's Compensation and most Group Health Plans. We have affordable private pay plans for patients who do not have insurance or are out of network.
In addition to providing traditional Physical Therapy sessions, we also provide home visits for elderly patients who are unable to come into the office. We also provide pre-work screens (PWS) and functional capacity evaluations (FCE) for corporations and government agencies.
